We have just bought a 1986 house with floor to vaulted ceiling flagstone fireplace in the middle of the room. My husband loves it - I think it's hideous - especially the orangy-brown colors. I would like to paint it - but there would be no going back once we've done it. Has anyone ever done this and what kind of paint would I use?
