Broken window sills

Dear Bob,
We have a house that is a lttle over a year old.
My roommate had a puppy that chewed on the window sills of the narrow windows on either side of the front door then jumped on one and broke it. These
are those side windows that are 10 inches wide and 71 inches long. How can we replace the sills.
Do we have to take the window apart to do this.
These are windows that do not open.
