Ceiling fan/plugs

My son is installing a ceining fan in my bedroom. He was able to connect the fan and light so they both work, but now we have another problem. None of the plugs in my bedroom will work. We have double checked the breakers, and none have been tripped, and the fan/light still works. Any help would be appreciated.
