improper cycling from the furnace blower

I have an old Rheem furnace, model# CVB-125AB,
125,000 BTU's, probably about a 1964? Blower does
not shut off properly after the house is up to
the desired operating temperature. It will keep
on running. Will it hurt the blower motor if this
problem is not fixed immediatlely? It must be
some king of "switch" that is bad, can I test it?
