do you have pets?
kitchen and baths are heavy traffic areas and prone to water spills. laminates are not suited for prolonged water spills.
Do you have children?
do your kitchen chairs slide in and out from the table? A slight nick in the lam is non repairable.
is your foundation relative stable? do you have hair line cracks around doors or above doors? Shifting foundations will cause the boards to seperate.
I would not go the laminate in the bath room and that is for sure. Water under the lam will stay and mildew and rot. your better off with real wood or vinyl.
