Your full 2x8's are 78% stiffer in deflection than today's "conventional" 2x8's.
They are slightly less rigid (86% as stiff) than todays conventional 2x10's.
Is the 18 foot span a clear span with no bearing wall below? If there is a load bearing wall, then the answer will be different.
