I committed the same faux pas attempting to bleach the grout around my old enameled steel bathtub. I removed the stain with C.L.R. I poured it full strength on the stain and scrubbed really hard with a stiff bristled scrub brush and it came right out. Be sure to rinse the tub really good to get all the C.L.R. out.
