We have had several bids to refinish our hardwood floor. Some contractors say that we should use an oil based finish and others recommend an oil based finish. We have 3 year old twins and hate to move out for two days with an oil finish but want to make sure that a water based finish will adequately protect our floor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
