Dear Sir, I am trying to install a half bath upstairs, It seems I have two 3" drain pipes in my unfinished upstairs bath room area, one of the pipes goes all the way to the out side roof and the other 3" pipe taps off this with a tee fitting approx 8;ft down from the roof and 5'ft from the floor joists and continues down to the basement and is joined again to the vent pipe on a slight downward angle coupling. my question is? can I install a tee fitting at the secondary 3" pipe upstairs or do I have to go to the other continuous 3" pipe that is exiting to the roof, Thank you. jgallagher@drc.com
