You can usually unscrew that tub drain fitting from inside the tub...........insert a pair of needle nose pliers into the basket and use another wrench to grab the plier handles and turn the fitting out........They make a tool for this that's fits the drain like a stopper.....with a cross recess at the end to grab the inside of the fitting......doug
