My son put a hole in the wall. I bought the piece of metal with the netting and applied on the wall as the directions indicated. I covered it with spackling. The spackling is smooth because it said to sand it. I was told that spackling was ok to use but there was something else I should have used. I know after I can get a texture back on the wall I will need to prime it and then find matching paint. I need to know how to get the texture on the wall.
