I work part-time at HD in the milwork Dept. and I sell American Craftsman windows. Here's my advice.
The fogging up problem is easily fixed if you either saved the Home Depot receipt or filled out the warranty card. American Craftsman's glass seal is life-time warranteed.
The garden window sounds like it wasn't properly installed.
