I submitted my comment too early. As I said, I live in Texas where we have both heat and humidity. I haven't regretted painting my brick at all. The paint is holding up well and is easy to clean. I disagree that it decreases the value. We just had ours appraised and the appraiser commented on how nice it looked and we got a great appraisal.
