A fuse will blow for two main reasons. 1. The circuit is overloaded (too much running on one circuit). 2. A short (a broken or bare wire touching another wire or piece of metal).
In each case you have a serious problem which has the potential for a fire. If you do not fill confident in solving the problem then find a qualified appliance repairman to repair the ice maker or have it disconnected. Good Luck!
