Jonathan listen man I am going to use a chainsaw motor as well but to mount it on a bike. I was in Cuba recently and these kids out there build a whole bunch of them not just with chainsaw motors, with all types of 2 strokes and 4 stroke engines. I was invited to ride them whenever and they were way faster than 25mph, they were maxing out at about 50mph the good ones.
I basically posted this to continue the discussion and hoping you can answer some of my questions to help me build this bike.
Basically i'm going to remove the chains saw sprocket as well and weld on a high tooth # sprocket in place. Place a chain to connect to the rear rim sprocket.
If your on idle, will accelerating the throttle automatically kick in the clutch rotating the sprocket?
