My husband and I are planning to replace the toilet in our main bathroom. We measured and found it to be a 14" rough-in. After looking at some toilets we are disappointed that there are few design choices in toilets made for that distance. A secondary problem is our current toilet measures 33" from floor to top of tank. Since we are not changing the tiles, we need a pretty tall toilet and there are many more styles available in 12" rough-in toilets. Is there a way to retrofit a 12" toilet to fit a 14" opening?
