My house was new when I moved in 7 years ago. Last week I notice a small amount of water around the base of the commode next to the inside wall. I looked closely and it appears that a small amount of calk was applied neatly around part of the base where the leak is coming from. I would like to assume that I have a bad wax ring which I could replace easily. Could there be a cracked or broken drain pipe which is causing the leak? Any help or suggestions that you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks Terry Nichols
