I would say that you have a problem with the installer. Floating floors should never be nailed down to anything (the trim is nailed, but not to the floor)! Also, a floating floor does not need to be glued anywhere other than the seams, and this particular product (vanguard) is pre-glued. I have not heard of others having problems with this floor, even people who bought it at home depot. I would pursue this matter with a manager at the store first, and continue until you are satisfied.
