You want to get a grout saw to remove at least half of the grout (remove all of it if you can) before applying the new grout. Do your best at matching the color. If the existing grout on the rest of the floor was not sealed, then wait a few months, and all of the grout will likely turn what I like to call "mop-water gray"!
