Hello,
We just had hardwood floors installed in our kitchen (common red oak). They are installed and ready for finishing. I read on 3 separate web pages that the wood should have been brought to our house to cure for at least 72 hours. I mentioned this to my contractor the day he brought the wood to my house and he said that's not true, that the wood comes from a heat controlled environment and he immediately began the installation. I'm very worried now that I'll have problems in the future because the wood didn't cure and that I won't have any recourse. How serious is this problem?
