Murphy's Oil Soap is a great cleaner for wood. It smells good, and is safe for the wood and many other surfaces. You'll be amazed at how much dirt it will take off of the paneling. Then I'd recommend an oil of some type, lemon oil or yes Liquid Gold, but the things I dislike about Liquid Gold is it is just so greasy, and the smell. Lemon oil is a great treatment for wood surfaces.
