Help! I thought laminate was a great choice for my lower level, including the steps. I did not see the stair nose molding for the treads until it was delivered. I was shocked to learn it was not flush with the tread. It projects up 3/16th inches(4mm!) My local building code (BOCA) only stiulates minimum tread depth. The manufacturer's (Classen USA) response to me was "the molding is a bit higher than the tread."
Should this be acceptable to me? Thanks, Gina Woodruff
