taught me that you will rid the tent of mildew if you errect it and leave it in the direct sunlight. It will eventually die off. I would not use any bleach or chemicals as it will further deter the water restance. I wish that I still had my canvas tent. I loved it dearly. Loved that rancid smell of canvas while sleeping out.
