Try a fire restoration Co. they can remove odors by cleaning the walls and carpet. Ask your insurance co. who they use.We had a fire in one of our bedrooms a few years back and I thoght it would have to be repainted but all they did was clean the walls and carpet it worked like magic ,just a thought.
