Brasso will DAMAGE your brass! Read the label of Brasso, it says not recommended for aluminum, this is because it attacks Zinc which is often present in aluminum, Brass is an alloy of copper and Zinc.A museum conservator told me that Brasso has been the industry standard for 100 years and he saw no reason to change now. My reply was people have been smoking since 1650, does that mean it's o.k? Any polish that contains anhydrous chemicals or acids will attack brass.
