We have two outlets on an island wall in our kitchen that stopped working. We checked for loose wires. There were none. When we used a circuit tester and put the tester contacts into the hot and neutral slots, it produces a dim light. When we put the testers into the hot and ground slots, it produces a bright glow. When we use one of those 3-pronged receptacle tester, it lights up to indicate that the neutral contact is not connected -- which is not true. So there is some power coming through, but not enough to run anything. How do we fix this?
