I've seen several posts about PT lumber leaving the market - this is not true. CCA treated lumber (in most applications) is being phased out, but a new generation of treated lumber will replace it. ACQ and copper azole are two of the top contenders - lumber treated with these chemicals will be comperable to CCA treated lumber (cost efficient, durable, versatile, etc.). For more information on the phase out of CCA or the new generations of preservatives, visit www.southernpine.com.
