we just build a new house-completed in June 2001.
There has been water coming in basement even during construction. Thru elimination, we have determined with the builder that it is probaly leaking thru the mortar/brick. He has had a brick expert look at the brick and he says it's not the brick but maybe the mortar. It seems unresonable to me to water seal a brand new all brick house. To me it shouldn't leak in the first place. Any thoughts on out situation or opinion about leaking mortar/bricks and water sealant advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
