...considering the age...the house and heatint system is almost 50 years old custom built by a european man in 54. each room is a separate zone controlled by a 110 volt solenoid. It seems like to me that there would be some significant temp swings with this style of control...am I wrong? Seems like the house being one or two zones (its a ranch, of course) would make it simpler by varying the water volume based on heat need would be better rather than the temp swings created by the solenoids being turned on and off.
