I have been told that OSB is not the best material to use as roof sheathing because if it gets wet, it becomes delaminated and falls apart. Since I am a novice with such issues, is this true or is OSB a suitable material to use. I am a Board member for a homeowner's association and we are getting ready to re-roof so we need to make absolutely sure that OSB, what the contractor is recommending, is suitable. Can you please let me know what your opinion is of OSB.
