My family room has a very dark wood paneling in it that is as old as my home. (18years) I'd love to see it gone, but know the work involved is a little more than I'd like to embark upon right now... Are there any wood paneling remodeling tricks out there such as painting or whitewashing that might give me a brighter look without looking it like painted paneling or too countryish? I'm trying for a more modern look for the room. Thanks to an suggestors.
