I need to run another phone line from the old-style (home built in 1949) main jack to a bedroom and install another jack for my computer/dsl. This would be just an extension. The old-style main jack is very confusing looking...is there power running to that that I should be wary of? It's on the basement rafter, so getting to it is no problem, but I don't want to fry myself hooking up a simple phone jack! Wires are sticking out all over the place, but my phones work fine with the computer/dsl otherwise. There is no jack in the room I have moved the computer to.
