I have to run a wire from a misplaced box in the dining room ceiling to the logical location for a chandelier. I have to pass the wire through three 2x12 joists. The joist space seems to be filled with fiberglass insulation.
Of course, there will be box sized openings at each end of the run.
Is there any way to do this without disturbing the drywall ceiling? If not, how does one minimize the damage to the ceiling?
