I'm re-doing my upstairs bath down to the studs, except for 2 walls which are perfectly fine. My question regards the "meeting of the existing wall w/ the NEW Hardy Backer Board which will be about a foot outside the shower stall.
(1) what to use for joint compound.
(2) Can I paint over it or do I need to paper or tile?
