I have a hot water tap that I want to install at my kitchen sink. The guy at the hardware store said to remove the air gap and use that hole for the tap. Does this sound like the right thing to do? Otherwise, I'm looking at spending $200 for a single hole faucet to free up a hole in my sink. My husband does not want to drill a hole in the counter top. Suggestions? Thanks.
