I have an antique brass bed I am restsoring. the surface had been lacquered but had mostly worn off. Finally I have removed the old lacquer and polished it to a beautiful gleaming finish. My question is how is the best way to preserve this appearance and avoid the frquuent repeating the cleaning and polishing process? Removing the old lacquer is something I would not want to go through again. Is there another product that does the job, but could be easily removed if it wears through?
