Straight cut and compound cut. A straight cut will make nice 90 degree cuts and make nice frames, BUT it will not make crown molding cuts. Crown will require a compound mitre saw.
I know what a radial arm saw is, but not in relationship to a Mitre saw. A radial arm is a different animal, and yes it will do mitres. Radial arm is about 6 times the cost of a mitre saw. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
