I have a home built in the 50's with all wood floors. They are very sqeaky. We will be installing new carpet over the top. I have tried to nail and screw them down to stop the noise but to no avail. The basement is finished so I do not have access in that direction. Does anyone have any advice on how I can stop the sqeaks before the carpet is installed?
