can a roofing gun and nails be used to install eastern white cedar shingle for siding on house. also must it be treated before installation, or can it be done in the spring? i have the front and one side already installed and didn't have time to treat it before the weather went cold. will it weather differently in pittsburgh pa than it would in new england? i planned on using cabots bleaching oil?
