My wife and I are having a new townhouse built in
Miami, Florida. The footings are (2) mats (2) to a mat w/#5 rebar. the slab itself is 6" thick
w/#10 mesh 6" o/c, w/30 psi concrete. the problem
is that a hairline crack developed shortly after
the slab was poured and now 7 months later it is
the entire length of the slab and is now 1/8" wide. We intend to close in about 2 months and
plan on installing 24" travertine marble. I am
concerned the gap will widen.. Help!!!!!!!
