I have a 1988 high effeciency (80%) furnace that has a double flue from the furnace t the chimney and a chimney with flue liner tiles. The flue from the furnace to the chimney has no rust or corrosion which indicates to me that very little condensatin is occurring in the flue.
I'm wondering if I need to have a flue liner installed in the chimney or if the flue tiles will do the job of preventing condensation, acidic deterioration, etc.
Thanks.
