Is in your plan for your basement remodel.
Please check with your local Building Dept on what types of windows are best for escape in case of a fire.Could you climb up and out of a 17" window?Could your wife and kids?
Please take this seriously,I know personally, this is a matter of life or death!Luck(won't always work in a basement fire)
