Greetings Sid, (& Scott) Your 17" X 31" windows will not meet egress codes. Also the odds are that they are to far off the floor as well. If you are planning to finnish of the basement, PLEASE talk to the Building Inspector in your area. The safety of you, and your family, should come first! Good luck, Jason
