It depends on what you really want to do with it and if you have/want an air compressor or not.
I like air tools for so many reasons so I purchased a Porter-Cable, round head framing nailer, model FR350. It is angled to help you get into tight places.
I also have Master Fasteners, 2 1/2 " Angle finish nailer, Model MF 1565 and a Porter-Cable brad nailer, Model BN125.
I find that I can handle most jobs that come my way and I don't mind the hoses for the air.
If you don't want air hoses, then you should look at Paslode nailers. They run on fuel cells and require a battery.
