Noisy plumbing

I have problem with the plumbing in my house, it seems like at the same time every morning, between 2 and 3 A.M. there is a very loud vibrating noise coming from the pipes in the house, We then have to go down and shut off the main valve, we then turn the water back on in the morning, the problem never happens in the daytime it is to the point that it is happening every night, and is now very annoying, let alone the noise that it is ear breaking, Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
