Christine, the first thing I would try is Goo Gone, basically because it will remove a lot of things and is readily available. If that does not work, Citristrip makes a product for carpet adhesive removal. Check it out on their web site at www.citristrip.com. If neither of these work, come back with the results of these and we can go from there. Henry
