If your tub is gurgling when you flush the toilet this is an indication that the air being pushed ahead of the toilet flush is coming up your tub. Many times a clog in the line or the vent can cause this problem. Since every gallon of water has to displace a gallon of air, the venting system directs that air pressure up the roof. When the drain or vent system is clogged, the air cannot go up to the roof, so it comes out ahead of the water, many times up t he tub or sink.
