Marlite walls

Help! We just moved into a new house with marlite walls in both the kitchen and bathroom. We do not like them at all! Behind the marlite walls is raw wood. Does anyone know of any paint or primer that can be used on these walls. If not, when we take the marlite down, what would we put up over the wood and how? Thanks. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
