For those of you as stupid as me in thinking the buying a garage door opener with STANLEY all over it meant you were buying quality and a life time warranty that meant something.... THINK AGAIN. Seems the jackasses at STANLEY sold their stuff to Whistler but let their name be associated with it. However, you better hope nothing goes wrong with the opener because WHISTLER went out of business. That LIFETIME Warranty is worthless. To top it off, not only will you have to pay for parts... that is only if you can find them. On of the most common parts to go bad is the output wormwheel (plastic wheel with all the teeth) and those are no longer made or available.
