I take it that you may have been burned by The Home Window Company when they went under.
I live in the Detroit area and remember this time last year when the HWC went under. I came very close to signing a deal with them when all of a sudden, I called back on one of the quotes that the sales person gave me for cost per window, and got his boss on the phone and he totally invalidated the quote saying, "We would never give such a low quote per window, are you crazy?" Well that was enough after a little more arguing on the phone, having wasted my time and all. So I went to Wallside windows, and go a pretty great deal. The quote was really good per window, about $211 per window installed, yet I opted out of the Low E glass to cut corners because that really would have added up on seven windows. I figured I didn't really need it on my home circa 1926. Plus Wallside gurantees for life and they have been around for a long time.
Be careful. I never heard of Window Masters until AFTER HWC went under, which makes me wonder if they are the same guys, under a different name/shelter.
Check with the Royal Oak Better Business Bureau, and ask when they incoprorated if you can find that out from Royal Oak Business records or Oakland County business records.
DO NOT GIVE THEM MOR THAN 25% UP FRONT.
Let me know how it turns out, I might have a couple more windows replaced.
